Marathon Music Festival
The Marathon Music Festival is fast becoming the cultural phenomenon of our time. It is a festival that continues to grow in terms of quantity and quality. Let's not forget:
- music has positive effects on runners
- music makes spectators' pulse quicken
- music attracts crowds into the streets
- music intensifies the effects of the cultural event just like a sound-track adds dramatic moments to an action movie
- music brings happiness to the city
- music connects us regardless of how different we are.
The MMF in an integral part of all PIM races – the Marathon, the Half Marathon, the Junior Marathon and the Grand Prix – taking place from March until September. In the last 10 years, the MMF was hosting more than 450 local and international bands, including hundreds of street singers, musicians, samba players, dancers, fire-eaters and many other performers.
