FAQ

Our office is open on week days from 9am till 5:30pm. You can come to register for a race, the Running Club and pay the start fee. We will give you detailed information if you need.

In 2010, the traditional races will take place in the following dates:

• 27 March – Hervis Prague Half Marathon
• 9 May – Volkswagen Prague Marathon
• 11 September – Tesco Prague Grand Prix

The Half Marathon Expo

The TESCO Grand Prix Prague

The team run is a new feature of PIM. Every member of the team runs the entire track. The final ranking is determined by the total time of all four runners of the team. Additionally, the finish time of each runner is included in the result list for individuals.

The relay run is designed for 4-member teams when each of the members runs only part of the race – the first three run 5-km section each while the last one (the team captain) runs 6.0975 km in the Half Marathon and 10 km + 12.195 km in the Marathon.

The Czech Marathon Club membership is voluntary and free! However, the membership entitles you to a number of advantages, including a discount on starting fee. You become a member if you mark the appropriate spot in your registration form and participate in one of the PIM main races.

You can make the payment in cash on delivery or through a bank transfer.

The Hervis Prague Half Marathon

The Volkswagen Prague Marathon

• in person at the Expo – from 7 May until 8 May 2010 (you can not register on the day of the race!)

The TESCO Prague Grand Prix

• online, in person at the office, via email – up until 7 September 2010
• by post – delivered by 7 September 2010
• in person at the Expo – from 9 September until 11 September 2010 (you can register only by 5pm on the day of the race!)

The start numbers are assigned based on your personal records you have submitted in your online and the printed application.

The Hervis Prague Half Marathon and the Volkswagen Prague Marathon are races designated only for runners 18+ years old.

The younger runners can attend the TESCO Prague Grand Prix (above 15) and all non-competitive runs, including the 6.5-km In-line Party.

If you receive this message, your payment has failed because:

• the given card number, validity or control code is incorrect
• you have insufficient funds on your card
• the payment has been rejected by the bank or the card company

Fix the problem by doing one of the following:

• you can transfer money to our bank account
• pay cash at our office
• send us data about a different card to our fax

There are no qualification criteria for the race. Entering the race is every runner's own responsibility. You do not need doctor's approval to register for the race.

We send out the confirmation letters every few days. There may be several reasons why you have not received the letter yet:

• you have entered a wrong email or postal address
• your email account is blocked from receiving mass email or there is a similar filter
• your registration has not been completed successfully
• we didn't receive your payment

What shall I do next?

First check if your registration has proceeded by entering your surname in the registration verification page. You can try entering your first name as well.

If your registration displays, it means, you have been registered only you have not received the confirmation letter. Before contacting us, see if the confirmation letter is not in your spam box or the trash.

If you fail to find the registration and the confirmation letter, send us an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Do not forget to write your name, year of birth and date and method of your registration.

If you have submitted your registration form within less than 10 days, please, wait until the list is updated again. You can also search by entering your first name.

If your name doesn't show despite your efforts, please, send us the date and method of your registration by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The participants are required to provide confirmation of their payment when picking up the start bag at the Expo. We accept the following documents:

• bank account statement with the bank transaction
• postal order receipt

Documents we shall not accept:

• payment order

Payment documents will not be required if:

• you pay by credit card and the payment has been accepted
• you pay cash at our office

If you can't participate in the race for medical reasons, please, send us your doctor's statement to our email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it two weeks prior the race at the latest. Do not forget to write your start number and the name of the race. You can also choose to either:

• pass your registration on to somebody else or
• use the entry fee in a different race.

The entry fee is not refundable. You shall not be able to transfer it if after the stated date and the race.

Yes, the non-competitive runs are open to children under 15. These runs are open to all age categories.

At least one person on the team must be a member of the organization he or she is representing; mixed teams and relay teams are allowed. The team/relay team is comprised of 4 runners.

Registration on the day of the race is not possible!

The Hervis Prague Half Marathon

• yes, you can pick it up at the Expo between 8 and 9am

The Volkswagen Prague Marathon

• it is not possible to pick up the number and the bag on the day of the race!

The TESCO Prague Grand Prix

• yes, you can pick it up at the Expo before 5 p.m.

The logotype size placed on the start numbers should not be bigger than 10 x 7 cm (w x h) and the print resolution should not be lower than 300 dpi and 1:1 scale. You can send the logotype files in the following formats: ai, eps, cdr, pdf, tiff and jpg. We require the CMYK color system and one layer. The text should be curved. Only registered teams who send the logo no later than 1 month before the race can have their logo placed on their start numbers.

You can pick up your start bag at the Expo.

We provide the payment confirmation only for cash payments at our office or at the Expo.

If driving by car, we recommend you to use the Park and Ride facilities located by the metro stations and take the metro to reach the start area.

Due to traffic restrictions on the day of the race, we do not recommend taking your car downtown as the center of the city will be closed. Go to traffic for more information.

• I can't find my name in the score sheet.
• I see only my start number without the name and surname.
• Wrong results are listed under my start number.

In case you find problems in the score sheet, please, send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. It will be very helpful if you also include your name and surname and your approximate finish time.

NOTICE! Deadline for submitting changes to the score sheet is 1 week after the race. The official results will be closed after this date and no other changes will be taken into consideration!

Only the official start bags from the Expo will be accepted at the luggage deposit.

PERSONAL BAGS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!

If you have large luggage, we recommend to leave it at home, in the hotel or use the specialized luggage deposits (at railway stations, for instance).

After the race, a feedback form will be added to the menu of each race where you can rate the race and submit your comments.

Unfortunately, our races are not designed for bikes or scooters. But you can try in-line skating in The In-line Party 6,5 km race.
